Rules of the competition:
- each estate can only present one wine per category

- the results are weighted by coefficients

- the votes are counted in the presence of a bailiff

Riesling of the World 2006

258 international wine-tasting professionals (oenologists, wine experts, wine merchants, cellar masters, grape growers and specialized journalists) all acclaimed the high level of quality of the wines presented.

They also confirmed that the tasting is more and more interesting regardless
of the country represented. Recognized as the greatest white grape variety in the world, the Riesling variety has shown for the ninth consecutive year that it enables wines to be produced with great finesse and elegance, on very different soil types, at all latitudes, and with wine-producing methods and legal frameworks relative to each country.

The results of the 9th “Riesling of the world” contest 6 Trophies of Excellence, 61 Gold Medals and 103 Silver Medalwere awarded by 258 international jury members judging 580 Riesling variety wines coming from 16 countries.

One on the top prizes, the “Trophy of Excellence”, was awarded to our Late Harvest Riesling Vallée Noble 2002.

The Trophy of Excellence awards wines that have obtained scores of excellence for the ten criteria on the official OIV scorecard (International Office of Vines and Wine).
